Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our website (www.rutransportation.us), services, and bookings. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully.

 

Service-Specific Terms

Modifications and Cancellation Policy

By requesting a booking modification, clients acknowledge acceptance of these terms and conditions. We reserve the right to accept or decline modification requests based on operational feasibility.

  • 3-Hour Cancellation Policy: Clients must cancel their booking at least 3 hours before the scheduled service time to be eligible for a full refund.
  • No Refund Policy: Cancellations made less than 3 hours before the scheduled service time will not be eligible for a refund.
  • Booking Modifications: We allow modifications to existing bookings subject to availability and notice period (must be within 2 hours prior to scheduled pickup time). Changes may incur additional fees, depending on the nature of the modification.

Waiting Time Policy

  • Non-Airport Pickups: We provide a 30-minute grace period from the scheduled pickup time to accommodate unexpected delays. After the 3-minute grace period, waiting time charges will apply and be calculated as follows:
    • Waiting time is billed in quarter-hour increments (15 minutes).
    • The waiting time rate is based on the vehicle’s hourly rate.
    • Charges will be accrued and added to the original booking total. 
  • Airport pickups: We prioritize punctuality and convenience for our airport pickup services. We monitor all airline arrivals and departures to ensure timely pickups. 

Grace periods

After the respective grace periods, waiting time charges apply in 15-minute increments. Charges are based on the vehicle’s hourly rate.

  • Domestic arrivals: 60-minute grace period from scheduled arrival time.
  • International arrivals: 75-minute grace period from scheduled arrival time. 

Vehicle Usage Policies

  • Cleaning Fee: In the event of damage to the vehicle, a supplemental cleaning fee will be charged if additional cleaning or disinfecting services are necessary to restore the vehicle to its original conditions. 
  • Pet Policy: Small pets are permitted in vehicles with advance reservations. Pets must be secured within a carrier at all times. A cleaning fee may apply. 
  • Smoking policy: Smoking is strictly prohibited in all our vehicles. 

 

Liability, Conduct, and Personal Property

Personal Property Liability

We assume no liability for lost or misplaced personal property or items. 

No-Show Policy

  • Definition: A no-show is defined as the inability to locate or contact a passenger within 1 hour after airport pickup time (time begins when passenger plane lands) and 30 minutes at non-airport locations. No-shows will be charged the full fare. 
  • Liability Disclaimer: RU Transportation is not liable for missed appointments, flights, events, delays, or cancellations due to traffic, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. 

If you are having trouble locating your chauffeur, please contact us at (562) 826-4142 before leaving the reservation.

Passenger Conduct Policy

Passengers are expected to conduct themselves respectfully towards our staff. Abusive behavior, including verbal or physical harassment, will not be tolerated. Failure to comply may result in termination of service and refusal of future bookings. 

 

Privacy, Legal, and Policy Amendments

Personal Information Usage

We respect your privacy and protect your personal information. Any personal information provided will be used solely for booking purposes and enhancing your experience. We will not share your information with third parties without consent. 

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions shall not be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California. 

Amendments

RU Transportation reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes consent to the updated terms.
